Once the SR records have been created whether by the Help Desk or by Self -Serve. Work Orders can be generated from the SR record. All the relevant data completed on the SR record will automatically transfer onto the generated Work order. This action will link the Work order to the SR and also generate a linked WO number associated to the SR number. i.e. If the SR number is SR0094, then the WO Number will be WO0094-1 with the next increment.
To create a WO from the SR, select the Cogs icon as shown below which is the ‘Add a Work Order’ action
A confirmation prompt will appear. Upon selecting ‘Confirm’, the WO record will be linked to SR0094.
The created WO screen is displayed. All the data from the SR is pre-populated and is ready to be assigned to an appropriate supplier / Engineer to carry out the work. This will be actioned by the help desk. The Work order now will follow the Work Order workflow process
