General Tab
The general tab on an activity record will show all details such as who is expected to complete the activity and what the expected outcome is.
The top of the page shows you mini charts to give you an idea of how the activity has been performing over the last three complete months. It also shows the trend and visual graph of the number of instances (submitted activities) that have passed, failed or could not be completed.
The Elements Tile allows you to create the individual tasks that need to be carried out as a part of this activity. To create an element, just type the element description in to the Create New Element box and then click on Submit. You can then move the elements around as per your preference.
This tile is only available to Control Administrators.
The Teams tile allows you to add teams to the activity. This is a key part of the Control process as, when teams are added to an activity, the individual activity instances are created for all of the Lead Testers and Lead Checkers within the teams allocated.
Only teams that are set up as 'control' teams will appear in the table.
It is possible to mass delegate teams by clicking on the Bulk Assignment link at the top of the tile.
Bulk assignment lets you assign teams based on their Business Area.
There is a notes tile allowing for ad-hoc notes to be added to the Activity.
There are two tiles that are specific to the user viewing the Record – My Results and My Delegations.
The My Results tile shows all results that you have submitted (or that were assigned to you and have expired).
The My Delegations tile allows you to delegate this activity to appropriately nominated users.
To delegate, click on Create to get the delegation pop-up. Select the person you want to delegate to and the amount of time you want to delegate for.
The All Delegations tile is only available for Control Administrators. It shows every delegation that has been made against this activity.
Pausing an Activity
Should an Activity no longer be needed, or if it needs to be paused for an indefinite amount of time, then you can select the Pause button which is located within the tool bar at the top of the page. If an Activity is paused, all 'live' instances are deleted, so only use this if you are certain that the activity needs to be paused.
