When a maintenance plan is created, it can be paused at any time. Click the Stop the clock icon on the top right corner of the record.
Before confirming, provide a reason as to why you are stopping the plan, then click Confirm.
Such maintenance plans are identified by the icon in the Search PPM page.
When the Stop the clock feature is enabled on the maintenance plan, that means that no notifications relating to the occurrences within the maintenance plan will be sent to the responsible suppliers. Any occurrences that are due within the Stop the clock period will fail automatically when their due date passes.
Important Note to remember
When a Plan has been reactivated, the clock must be resumed manually by the user as this will not automatically resume. With this in mind, if the user were to update an occurrence that is in ‘InVerification’ status and the clock has not been resumed, then any rejections made will not send out notifications to the relevant supplier and will not be processed in the overnight process as the process will not include any Plans that are at ‘Resume the Clock’ state.
To resume the clock on the maintenance plan, click the Resume the clock icon on the top right of the record.
Before confirming, provide a reason as to why you are resuming the plan, then click Confirm.
To find maintenance plans that have been temporarily stopped using the Stop the clock feature, go to the Search PPM page. Click on the Custom filters. Click Add rule.
Select the “Is Stopped” option in the dropdown, select Yes radio button and click Apply. The search page will show you all the maintenance plans that have been stopped.
